The Provincial Grand Lodge of Bedfordshire has a facility here for a Museum and Library open to Masons and non-Masons by appointment.

The Kempston Barracks

The Barracks were built 1874-6 for the XVth Regiment of Foot. In 1881 they became the Depot of the Bedfordshire Regiment and in 1918 for the Beds & Herts. In 1958 the barracks closed and after nearly 80 years of decision making, a use as a Masonic Lodge has been found for the building. At least part of the Barracks, including the Keep is to remain as is the Regimental War Memorial opposite.

This link details more about this lodge and Freemasonry The Bedfordshire Lodge of Provincial Grand Stewards.
