The Baker City Historic District includes much of the of the downtown business district along Resort, Main, and First Streets and includes more than 100 buildings dating from as early as the 1870’s. Baker City was established about 1864 with the first post office being established in 1866. The city of Baker City was incorporated in 1874 and was known as “Queen City of the Mines.”
Coordinates are at the Geiser Grand Hotel near the center of the Historic District.
