This cascade divides South Berwick, Maine from Rollinsford, New Hampshire and once generated the power for the Salmon Falls Mills, now an artist’s colony, in what is known as Salmon Falls Village on the New Hampshire side. The parking area listed is for viewing the falls from base of the falls, but one can also get an excellent view of the falls from above by crossing over the Main Street bridge between the two states and looking down upon the entire cataract.
