DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1967 (ELH) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 6.5 MILES NORTHWEST OF PORTERSVILLE, 4.5 MILES EAST OF NEW CASTLE, 0.6 MILE EAST OF STATE HIGHWAY 388 AND 0.2 MILE NORTH OF U.S. HIGHWAY 422. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN NEW CASTLE, GO SOUTH AND EASTERLY ON U.S. HIGHWAY 422 FOR 5.2 MILES TO A CROSSROAD AND INTERSECTION WITH STATE HIGHWAY 388, TURN LEFT AND GO NORTH ON STATE HIGHWAY 388 FOR 0.3 MILE TO A CROSSROAD, TURN RIGHT AND GO EAST ON SURFACE ROAD (OLD BUTLER HIGHWAY) FOR 0.65 MILE TO THE SUMMIT OF HILL AND A DRIVEWAY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD, CONTINUE AHEAD, GO EAST ABOUT 100 FEET TO A DRIVEWAY RIGHT, LEADING TO A RED BRICK HOUSE, TURN RIGHT INTO DRIVEWAY AND GO 25 YARDS TO A UTILITY POLE ON THE RIGHT AND STATION. TO REACH THE AZIMUTH FROM THE STATION, GO EAST ON OLD BUTLER HIGHWAY FOR 0.7 MILE TO A GRAVELED ROAD LEFT, TURN LEFT AND GO 0.7 MILE TO A PAVED CROSSROAD, TURN LEFT AND GO 0.2 MILE TO THE WHITE HOUSE OF MR. LEWIS PIKLE ON THE RIGHT AND AZIMUTH MARK ON THE RIGHT, ON A BANK ABOUT 7 FEET ABOVE THE HIGHWAY. THE STATION IS 79.0 FEET EAST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A WHITE BRICK HOUSE, 14.0 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A GRAVELED DRIVEWAY, 3.0 FEET SOUTH OF A POWERLINE POLE NO. 342. IT IS A STANDARD TRAVERSE DISK STAMPED COPPER 1967, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE CYLINDER, 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER, FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE. REFERENCE MARK 1 IS 82.0 FEET EAST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A WHITE BRICK HOUSE, 24.0 FEET SOUTH OF POWERLINE POLE NO. 342 AND 14.0 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF GRAVELED DRIDEWAY. IT IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED COPPER NO. 1 1967, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE CYLINDER 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER, FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE. REFERENCE MARK 2 IS 70.0 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF A WHITE BRICK HOUSE, 33.0 FEET NORTH OF POWERLINE POLE NO. 342 AND 19.0 FEET WEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF GRAVELED DRIVEWAY. IT IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED COPPER NO. 2 1967, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE CYLINDER, 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER, FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS 25.0 FEET EAST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A PAVED ROAD, WHICH IS 7 FEET LOWER THAN THE MARK, 11.0 FEET NORTH OF A POWERLINE POLE AND 3.0 FEET NORTHEAST OF A STANDARD METAL WITNESS POST AND SIGN. IT IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED COPPER 1967, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE CYLINDER, 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER, FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE, ON PROPERTY OWNED BY MR. MIKE ALBERICO.
