The Skyview Drive-In opened July 8, 1949. The theater operates two screens from April to November each year. The theater was damaged by two storms, one in 1955 and another in 1981, each time the theater was rebuilt. The theater has been own by the same family since its opening, the Bloomer family, as part of their BAC Theatres chain.
