Manitoba Centennial Concert Hall is owned and operated by the province. It was designed as part of the Manitoba Centennial Centre by the architectural firms Green Blankstein Russell Associates, Moody Moore and Partners, and Smith Carter Searle Associates and the acoustician Russell Johnson. The hall opened in March 1968. It has a proscenium stage 24 m wide and 12 m deep, a hydraulic orchestra pit, and 2305 seats. The hall is acclaimed for its excellent acoustics and state of the art equipment. It is the home of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (
