Quick Description: Standard Playground Kit set in the heart of Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, Pa. There is a basketball court about 40 feet away. I particularly liked the stone retaining wall which surrounds the playground.

Long Description:
I thought it was interesting to see this modern playground placed smack dab in the middle of this very old park. It made for quite a juxtaposition of old and new.

One of the United States' largest and oldest municipally-operated park systems, Fairmount Park encompasses 9,200 acres and includes 63 neighborhood and regional parks.

About the playground:
The equipment is neatly centered on a bed of mulch. Off to the side are two sets of swings. It features two slides, one, a straight side by side double and the other a spiral. There are plenty of places to climb and crawl.
