Inside this museum is a mish-mash of historical items - popular teachers, local sports heroes, Miss Citrus gowns, Pancho Villa (even though he never set foot in Mission), and a model of a Jacal and a steamboat. More interesting is the adjacent art museum.

Two buildings compose the Mission Historical Museum - the historic Shary Building and the US Post Office Building. The exhibits in the history museum really wouldn’t be of interest to anyone but locals. The art exhibits in the Post Office Building would appeal to anyone that likes art.
