The Times-Union Center, which opened in 1997, houses three distinct halls built to house a variety of performing arts, including the symphony orchestra. The lobby and meeting areas are spacious and welcoming, many with a spectacular view of the St. Johns River. The Shircliff Lounge and Davis Gallery overlook the St. Johns River. These areas can be used for theater-style meetings, luncheons and banquets, or receptions for 100-250 people. The Hicks Lobby and South Marquee, with its curved wall of glass can accommodate larger receptions.
The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra continues to affirm its place as one of the leading performing arts organizations in the Southeast and a vital part of cultural life on the First Coast. Widely recognized for its high artistic quality, the JSO ranks among the nation’s top 40 orchestras in terms of budget size and population served. Additional information about the JSO is available on its web page (visit link).
