Dunn was a Private 5th Class, Chester Co., Pennsylvania under Capt Reed. There is discrepencies in the date of his death.

There is a seperate memorial within the cemetery dedicated to those who served in Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War. Surprisingly, Dunn's name does NOT appear on this monument.
