This obelisk marks the gravesite of Wilbur W. Swaim. While no information is available about Mr. Swaim, Old City Cemetery where he is interred has several somewhat famous residents, including Confederate War General Joseph Finegan, U.S. Congressman Claude L'Engle (served from 1913-1915), and Florida's 15th Governor Francis Philip Fleming.
