East Hillside Cemetery is a colonial cemtery, the little cemetery is located east of the junction of Route 107 and Glen Cove Road. It is still an active.. Note that the Hessians have only rocks to mark their graves. It is believed headstones were in place but were removed during the First World War in anti-German furor.
The Hessians and other dead from the era are buried in the south west corner of the cemetery. THere is parking on site and on the road in front. There is seldom many people there. But the road in front is busy. Be careful walking near the road might be a good thing to remind people.
