Sapporo, the sister city with which Portland’s officials have cultivated the most intense contacts, contributed a friendship bell at Portland’s Convention Center. The plaque reads "Bell Circles II by Robert Coburn 1990 Sounds of Asian bells mark the landscape, orienting the listener to time and space while expressing the link between Oregon and the Pacific Rim." Instructions for logging waymark: A photograph is required of you (or your GPS receiver, if you are waymarking solo) and the Friendship Bell.
