Ellicott Creek Park is a Erie County-owned park in the Town of Tonawanda, near Buffalo. The park was created in 1926 and was only 40 acres in size. Through a series of acquisition of private land, the park has expanded to the size it is today. Nearly all of the picnic shelters were built by the WPA in 1939. In addition, the casino, which was at one point a boathouse, was built by the WPA.
