The Rock Church of the Episcopal House of Prayer in Tampa is located at the corner of Michigan and Central Avenues. It is considered the most unusual and attractive structure of its kind in the south. Its architect, Mr. L.A. Fort, has followed closely the style of architecture, commonly practiced during the early centuries of Christianity in the British Isles. It is constructed of flint rock taken from the bed of the Hillsborough River within a few miles of Tampa.
