This is a double ramp located directly on the Crystal River. This is an added bonus as the water is usually fresh at the ramp which saves having to flush the motor and rinse the trailer later on. There are a couple small floating docks to tie up your boat once launched. From the ramp it is approximately 4.5 miles to the open Gulf and in the other direction about 2.5 miles to Kings Bay. On the drive to and from the ramp you go through the city of Crystal River which has lots of shops and eateries. Once on the water you can get bait and tackle from Twin Rivers Marina which is located very nearby the ramp, just to the left of the main river as you head north.
There are no fees. Parking is usually not a problem as long as you get there early, summer scalloping weekends especially.
There are restrooms directly to the left of the ramp. Also there is a picnic area and fishing pier in the County Park.
