The Ozaukee County War Memorial contains seven monuments. The two larger monuments are a tribute to those who gave their lives to defend our nation.
The original monument contains this inscription on the front:
A Tribute to Those Citizens of Ozaukee County Who Gave Their Lives to Defend Our Nation:
Forget we not the men and women of the Unites States Armed Forces who gave their lives to fight for freedom, liberty and everything our country stands for,. To them we dedicate this memorial.

On the back are the names of 89 who served and died in WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam
A new monument contains this inscription on the front:

Our Comrades in Arms
Forever cherished in our thoughts
Served with honor, courage, pride
We are humbled by their sacrifice
And will remember them always

On the back is the names of 1 who served and died in OEF/OIF/GWOT
The other five, smaller monuments are in honor of all who served. Each of these five monuments contain this inscription on the front:
IN HONOR OF ALL OZAUKEE COUNTY MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVED
Each branch is represented by these five stones: United States Navy, Unites States Marines, United States Army, United States Air Force and United States Coast Guard.
