Long Description:
The Farmers Market is open from June 7 - October 31 on Tuesdays,
Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. until for farmers to sell
produce. The fee is $3.00 per farmer for the day. The Farmers
Market is located on North Holmes Street off of North Main Street
in Belton behind the Senior Citizens building .
Rental for the Farmers Market yard sale is $5.00 per table during
the regular hours of Farmers Market sales.
Fresh vegetables available for purchase at the Farmer's Market
include squash, beans, cucumbers, etc.
Seniors can apply now for vouchers to buy produce. The vouchers can
be obtained on June 7, 2007 from 8:00 am to noon at the Belton
Farmers Market. Seniors applying for the vouchers must live in
Anderson County; have verification of address with a driver's
license or bills; know social security number; must be 60 or older
and make less than $17,100 annually ($1,425 per month) for a
one-person household.
