Opened in 2006, the New Lenox Laraway Road Station currently serves the Metra Southwest Service line operating between Manhattan, IL and Chicago.
There are plans in the future to operate a suburb-to-suburb commuter rail service, called the STAR Line, on the perpedicular tracks just north of the station. However, many steps must be take before that comes to fruition and this station begins hosting two different lines.
