The Church Brew Works is located in the former St. John the Baptist Church, which was taken out of commission in 1993. The Brew Works opened in 1996, after an extensive restoration where care was taken to reuse existing fixtures - including the pews. One of the most impressive views is the location of the copper & steel tanks on the altar.
Although some former parishioners did not like the new use of the old building, many are regular customers who are glad to see the historic building in use.
The Brew Works features 4 house beers:
- Celestial Gold
- Pipe Organ Pale Ale
- Pious Monk Dunkel
- Rotating Blast Furnace Stout
There are specialty beers which change from month to month.
Church Brew Works also features an excellent lunch & dinner menu - definitely worth a visit when in town !
