The Kaneana cave is located on the Northwest Shore of Oahu and was believed by the ancient Hawaiians to be the place where mankind emerged from the womb of the Earth goddess.

I visited this cave in September of 2007 while vacationing in Hawaii. The cave entrance is beside highway 93 near it's northern end. I ventured into the cave, which appears to be only about 100 yards deep, but I didn't venture to the end, so it's possible that there was more than I could see. The plaque that tells about the cave is across the highway between the road and the beach.
