A number of Confederate Veterans are buried in the Greenview Cemetery in Reidsville, North Carolina. This Memorial stands near the Confederate Graves and was erected in 1956 by the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
The inscription on the monument reads:
"TO THE CONFEDERATE SOLDIERS OF ROCKINGHAM COUNTY.
TRUE AS THE STEEL OF THEIR TIRED BLADES, HEROES IN HEART AND HAND, THEY FOUGHT LIKE BRAVE MEN, LONG AND WELL. LET POSTERITY LEARN THEIR TRUE STORY, AND FOREVER HONOR THEIR PATRIOTIC DEVOTION."
"DEDICATED TO THE HONOR AND SACRIFICE OF THE MEN OF THE CONFEDERACY. 1861 - 1865"
