This is without a doubt the most beautiful post office I have seen. The building is made of Georgia marble. Jasper and the surrounding area is home of some of the finest marble in the world. Georgia marble was used in the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capital Building. Many public and private building in and around Jasper are constructed of it including an unbelievable elementary school down the road. This post office is worth a visit just to see the beauty of it. The pictures posted here do not do it justice.
