The Wood Family Fishing Bridge is constructed atop the trestles of an old Chicago and Northwestern Railroad bridge that spanned the Rock River in Beloit, WI. On the bridge is a replica of a Fairbanks Morse Locomotive that one walks underneath.

The marker at the East side of the bridge reads:
"A gift to the people of Beloit from the family of William S. Wood (1862-1918), Caroline Pierpont Wood (1857-1948), and their three sons, Hiram (1886-1962), Pierpont (1890-1956), and William (1897-1975), all life-long residents of Beloit, Janesville, and southern Wisconsin.
Steven P.J. Wood, his wife Colette, sister Carolyn, and daughters Paula and Susan"
The bridge is 750 feet long and is built on an old railroad trestle over which ran the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. At the west end of the bridge a replica of a Fairbanks Morse locomotive sits atop bridge trusses so that pedestrians walk under it.
