Given the typical naming convention, the provenance of this house is confusing. Angster bought Lot 15, presumably with the house on it, from Booth in May 1918. The Kiers bought the property from Angster in 1919, but the 1920 city directory lists the Ellis’ as residing here. The 1922 Polk’s Directory shows the Roots at this address.
The Kier house is another companion design to the Perry house with a low, hipped roof and a mirror-image arrangement.
