Lot 17 of Ravine Bluffs was the second property bought by Angster from Sherman Booth. Angster held on to it for a couple of years selling it to Compton in May 1920. After an apparently aborted sale Compton sold it to the Kissams in May 1922. As is typical of these Wright designs, the anchor within each house is a central fireplace in the living room that encompasses half of the downstairs floor extended by a veranda. The kitchen and dining room complete the first floor. The second level typically includes three bedrooms, a bathroom, and an upstairs sleeping porch. The flat roof with an overhanging edge makes the exterior of the Kissam house unique.
The Kissam house also appears visually distinct from its Ravine Bluff neighbors in large part due to its ninety-degree rotation on the property. A failure of the cantilevered roof was corrected in the 1980s and the original flat roof has been given a slight pitch to improve drainage.
