We complained aplenty when we stopped at the original Little America and almost all vestiges of the famous penguin were gone. They had traded in the roadside attraction idea and instead tried to sell themselves as a classy joint. Come on! You're in the middle of Wyoming! Anyhow, when we saw this sign heading back to Evanston, Wyoming, Little America had redeemed itself a bit for hanging onto this great neon penguin. The hotel/truck stop is located along what used to be the Lincoln Highway.
My son, a penguin fan, thought this sign was one of our best finds yet. We assume that it works but didn't see it turned on, so we can't be sure.
