This park was developed by the CCC in 1934 and many of the original buildings are still in use today, including five rental log cabins. These log cabins are made from palm trees. There are a number of opportunities and activities available here. Among these are boat tours, hiking trails, canoe & kayak rentals, fishing, horse trails, and more. Alligators are abundant. One of the more interesting features of the park is the "Canopy Walkway". It is one of only a few in the US and the only one in a subtropical forest. It is 25' above the ground and is 85' long.
