The Veterans Memorial Park is located on property adjacent to the Medford Veterans Memorial Armory on South Pacific Highway. A hotel is also nearby. Within the park is a monument to veterans of World War I, erected in 1966. The text of the monument reads:
THE VETERANS OF WORLD WAR I
BARRACKS 540 AND AUXILIARY
DEDICATE THIS MEMORIAL TO THE MEMORY OF
THE JACKSON COUNTY MEN AND WOMEN
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN WORLD WAR I
EACH ONE OF WHICH IS REPRESENTED BY
A TREE PLANTED IN THIS PARK
