Pioneer Courthouse Square, affectionately known as Portland's living room, is a public space occupying a full 40,000 sq. ft. city block in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. It is a great place to people watch! The square is bounded by SW Morrison Street on the north, SW 6th Avenue on the east, SW Yamhill Street on the south, and SW Broadway on the west. A Visitor Information Center is located under the waterfall and a Starbucks sits at the northwest corner. There is free transportation on MAX light rail, buses, streetcars, and trolleys throughout the downtown area. The square has a westbound MAX station to the north and an eastbound MAX station to the south.Instructions for logging waymark: A photograph is required of you (or your GPS receiver, if you are waymarking solo) and any location in Pioneer Courthouse Square. "Allow Me" is the favorite tourist location.
