In the Book "Footloose in Washtenaw", authors Ruth Kraut and Keith Taylor tell us:
"Walk under th Broadway Bridge and west along Depot Street, then left on Fifth Avenua and you will come to Adam Voltz's Ann Arbor Central Brewery, number 724. Old rumors have it that its vaulted cellars and tunnels were used as a station on the Underground Railroan. Today the brewery has been converted into apartments"
