Next to the theater, the semi-circular building whose function is unknown (perhaps a gigantic nymphea) was partially razed to the ground at the beginning of the 1st century A.D. to make a beautiful stone pavement on which a temple and its altar were built.
Excavations have uncovered the basement of this temple which is situated exactly in the axis of the hemicycle. This peristyle temple, decorated with eight front columns, opened to the north. It was completed by an apse to the south. The podium (the basement of the temple) was not a solid mass, but consisted of several vaulted rooms above which there was the cella.
In front of the north facade, a solid sloping mass of rubble stone supported a staircase that led to the cella (the room for the deity);
This temple seems to have been consecrated to the Imperial cult.
