The Midway area was a military housing area and also home to a Nike Missile site. The site is now used partially as an off leash dog park and partially by the Kent School District.

Military Rd & 37th Ave S ((I) WAArNG; 3/161st Infantry (Mech): The radars were on the berm at the north end of the property. The buildings at the south end are the only surviving Nike-era structures and were the battalion headquarters site, S-45.
The area was used by the army until at least 2002. At that point the site was turned into a regional dog park called Grandview Park Regional Off-Leash Area. It is maintained by volunteers. A small section of the site is owned by the Kent School District. None of the structures remain, although you can still see foundations and an army test well near where I suspect the missile was housed on the north portion of the site.
