Long Description:
Grafton was settled in December 1859 by a group of saints led by Nathan C. Tenny. Due to common floods & Indian attacks the farming town never flourished. Its population peaked in 1864 (164) and was abandoned by the 1930s.

Grafton Cemetery is not being maintained by a government of community entity. It is left to the mercy of people and the environment. There has been a lot of vandalism of the cemetery. A number of markers have been destroyed or defaced. The cemetery is roughly 100 feet by 78 feet wide. Someone has placed a steel post / wire fence around the cemetery. This fence has rusted and is falling apart.
