The text reads:

"At the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet, held at Squantum in 1910, just seven years after the historic Wright Brothers' flight at Kittyhawk, a Bleriot monoplane piloted by Claude Grahame-White won the race to the Boston Light. World class aviators such as Wilbur Wright, Glenn Curtis, and Clifford Harrison attended the aero meet. Tens of thousands spectators gathered to watch the eleven day event, including President William Howard Taft, Boston Mayor John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and future President Franklin Delano Roosevelt."

Squantum Point Park is located at the end of Commander Shea Boulevard in Quincy, Mass., a short drive from the Neponset Bridge. The park has paved pathways among grassy areas. The main two mark one of the old runways. The end has a great view of Boston Harbor and the city skyline.
