Ontario's 'Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory' enjoys perhaps the most pleasing setting of all, surrounded by the cool green acres of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, all little more than a stone's throw away from the spectacular falls. The brilliance of butterflies flitting about in the steamy atmosphere of the glassed-in house seems to echo the rainbows floating over the mist of the falls.
The heliconius, or longwing butterflies, such as the brilliant orange "Julia" and the rich blue, white-banded "Sara," are especially well-represented at Niagara.
