The North Conway Depot Railroad Museum provides visitors with the opportunity to examine a wide assortment of railroad artifacts and memorabilia in the charming atmosphere of a period-authentic, operational train depot. A small number of display cases allow browsing of large train models, lanterns, clothing, signs, photos, and other items that relate the story of a time when the rail was the preferred method of travel in the White Mountains.
The ticket counter for the Conway Scenic Railroad can be found at the back of the museum - it is at the counter that you can purchase tickets for various railroad rides that depart from the platform out back.
Vintage railroad music is played, adding to the atmosphere.
There is a small gift shop located through a connecting door, and there are public restrooms.
Theme: Railroad history, and period history of the surrounding area from the time that the railroad was the primary commercial means of travel in the area.
