A large zinc memorial dedicated to U.S. Civil War Veterans stands in Tonawanda City Cemetery.

The front (west) side of the memorial has the following inscription:
"In memory of our comrades. Dedicated May 30, 1910. Erected by Winfield B. Scott Post No. 129 G.A.R. Dept. N.Y., Ladies' Auxiliary to W.B. Scott Post and W.B. Scott Women's Relief Corps No. 201."
The south side: "W.B. Scott Post Women's Relief Corps Dept. N.Y., organized Feb. 16, 1892."
The east side: "Ladies Auxiliary organized 1892, disbanded March 1, 1910."
The north side of the memorial has a list of 78 names on the Living Roll.
Around the base of all four sides are names of those listed on the Dead Roll of Honor. It appears the monument has been painted a silvery color on a number of occasions.
