One of the structures that has made changes to keep up with times is the Kentucky Theatre. It first opened in 1922. Silent films were the rage. An organ was installed to provide the music. Later it was one of the first theatres to install a sound system.
It has had many interior and exterior changes through the years. Currently it is still in use. It emphasizes foreign, independent, and art films, although more typical movies are occasionally shown. It also host concerts. Check the website listed below, movie times are different for each movie.
spend a day exploring the area and then stop in for an evening show or maybe a matinee.
