Reelfoot Lake
To the east, 65 square miles in extent, this lake was formed by the earthquake of 1811-12, which also changed somewhat the course of the Mississippi River. It is now plentifully stocked with fish, the abode of numerous wild animals and fowl and is partially a game reserve.
