This nice fountain greets travelers as they arrive in Belleville from the North on Illinois 159. Across from the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Illinois 159. I've lived most of my life in Belleville and I never knew we were the "Capital of Southern Illinois". I only found out when I stopped to take a photo of the fountain!
