The Augusta Ferry is one of only 2 Ohio River ferries still in operation.
It is one of the oldest ferries operating on the Ohio River. Founded in 1797 as a hand propelled ferry by John Boude, the ferry still lands at it's original mooring in Augusta.
The ferry operates daily from 8 am to 8 pm. The cost of a one way trip across the river is $5 per car. Individuals on foot may ride the ferry at no cost as long as a paying customer is on board.
