Historic Wisconsin Avenue Commercial District Marker in Neenah. It is located in an interior walkway at 135 W. Wisconsin Ave. that is locked outside of normal business hours. If someone visits when they are open please get a better marker picture.

Begun by flour millers to capture the trade of local wheat farmers, this central shopping district was established near the mills at the heart of the city. Built by the emerging merchant class during the paper industry's heyday, many of the buildings date from the 1880s and 1890s.
