The Walton Wait House is believed to have been built by Walton Wait between 1860 & 1870.
Around 1924 the Walton Wait House was moved a short distance atop this same hill to make room for a playground for the Nash School.
When the house was moved it was not turned around; consequently; it orientation was not changed, and the former rear is now the front facing Murdoch avenue.
Today the house is vacant and it appears that its future is unknown.
