This art deco style capitol is one of the tallest state capitol buildings in existence. Huey Long campaigned for this new capitol in the 1930s. He actually died here in the building and is buried nearby.

Some of these statues near the entrance are really cool. Some of them remind me of the Lord of the Rings stuff. Especially the one with the big sword.
