Center Point Covered Bridge was built in 1890 by T. C. Ancell and E. Underwood who built the abutment and John Ash and S. H. Smith carpenters.
The bridge crosses Pike Fork McElroy Creek and is 43 feet in length. The bridge truss constructionis long truss type. The bridge number is West Virginia 48-09-01.
The bridge has been by-passed by a newer modern bridge. and was renovated in 2005. This bridge was in use until 1940, when it became privately owned.
In 1981, the owner donated the bridge to the Doddridge County Historical Society and citizens of the small community donated their time to restore the bridge as a community project.
