This free Botanic Park is located in Steamboat Springs adjacent to the Yampa River. The park is accesible from either a large dirt parking lot or the bicycle path. The Park is open dawn to dusk from Spring until the first heavy snow. It is available for weddings and special events. Call (970) 879-4300 for special use. Yampa River Botanic Park website.
Because this Botanical Garden is in the high country (6500', but in a valley with mountains at 9-10,000'), the growing season is less than 60 days. Steamboat Springs is very wet, receiving rain almost daily. The area of Steamboat is always worth a visit, summer or winter.
