Vickery Creek covered bridge is located in the Old Mill Park in Roswell Ga. It is a foot bridge that crosses Vickery Creek and connects the Vickery Creek Unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area to Roswell Mill. It is the newest covered bridge in Georgia. It is a beautiful structure built from Douglas Fir harvested in the Northwest United States and spans 161 feet. The ruins of the old Roswell Mill that was destroyed by General William Tecumseh Sherman during the Atlanta Campaign are a short walk up stream from the bridge. The mill was rebuilt and operated until 1971, when it was abandoned. The dam build to provide water power for the mill still spans Vickery creek. Roswell has a strong tradition as a great hiking town and this addition makes Vickery Creek much more accessible to hikers.
Parking is available in the Old Mill lot at the end of Mill Street in Roswell.
