This carousel has been in London's Springbank Park for pretty much as long as anyone can remember, and has brought joy to many a child, (or adult!), who has sat on one of its gaily painted steeds, and watched the world spin by, as they enjoyed the breeze generated by their imaginary travels, and escaped their workaday worries, if only for a few minutes.
