During Roman times, small row houses stood at the foot of a sturdy slope retaining wall, directly across from the theater. These were used for different purposes over the years. From 250 to 275 A.D. several of them housed baking ovens.

A reproduction of a Roman baking oven is presented at this site.

Additionally, four bronze figures used in a Lararium were discovered during excavations here. They are reproduced at this site in a reconstructed Lararium. The originals are in the nearby museum. The figures represent Mercury, Minerva, and a dwarf.
